PARADOX OF INCARNATIONS
My paintings are based on a simple but important idea for me: the real whole is always born out of opposites.
Building unity out of contradictions
I like to put things next to each other that at first glance are incompatible: icy blue and red-hot orange, thick darkness and sharp glare, a hard outline and a completely blurred background. They don't fight, they negotiate. The stronger the contrast, the denser and more vivid the surface of the canvas becomes. For me, it's like breathing: inhaling and exhaling, tension and relaxation, only in color and shape.
The birth of meaning from uncertainty
I almost always start without a sketch. The first layer is chaos, the second is fog, and the third is random streaks. And only somewhere on the fifth or sixth layer of this murky haze suddenly emerges what should be: a glance, a silhouette, an arch, a gesture. The strangest thing is that I don't come up with these images in advance. They appear precisely because I don't give them clear boundaries for a long time. The paradox: the longer I keep everything in limbo, the more accurate and louder the picture sounds in the end.
All together, this is my way of reminding myself and the viewer: any strong whole (painting, brand, person) is assembled not from identical parts, but from those that at first glance deny each other.
